Caroline Williams Bio

Caroline Williams is a Licensed Professional and Board-Certified music therapist. She earned her degree from Georgia College & State University, where she was Community Service Director of the Music Therapy Society and was the award recipient for Excellence in Songwriting. She completed her clinical internship at A Place to Be in Leesburg, Virginia, and continued her work as a music therapist in Washington, D.C.
Caroline’s clinical experience spans multiple settings including public schools, pediatric clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. She piloted a music therapy program for the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia and participated as a music therapist at the National Down Syndrome Society’s 2025 Advocacy Conference. A staunch advocate for music therapy and its benefits, Caroline has researched and presented on multiple topics for varying audiences. These topics include “Music Lessons for Adaptive Learners”, “Enhancing Communication and Social Skills through music therapy”, and “Person-first music therapy in the Treatment of Eating Disorders”.
After moving to the Atlanta area, Caroline continued her work as a music therapist for neurodivergent children and adults. She is absolutely thrilled to bring her experience to Third Ladder and continue to grow here as a clinician! Caroline’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and guided by a deep passion for the bridge music creates between all human beings.
When she is not “music thera-pizing,” Caroline enjoys a plethora of hobbies including songwriting, painting, rollerblading, and hiking. She loves her friends and enormous family dearly and treasures time spent with all of them (especially Liz, who triples as her sister, roommate, and best friend).
